1. Parties to the Agreement
This Internship Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into by and between:
- The Organization: MentorTechz ("Host Organization" or "MentorTechz"), an independent technology development and digital training studio operating in Islamabad, Pakistan; and
- The Candidate: The individual registered in the MentorTechz Candidate Portal ("Candidate" or "Intern"), whose legal name, contact email, and educational affiliation are verified upon account activation.
2. Internship Domain, Scope & Term
The internship is an intensive, practical learning program designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry-grade software development.
- Designated Domains: The Candidate is assigned to a specific learning track based on their application, including: Web Development (React, Next.js, Node.js), Mobile App Development, UI/UX Design, or Custom Software Engineering.
- Standard Term & Duration: The standard internship program runs for a duration of 2 months (8 weeks), unless an alternative custom project timeline is formally assigned and recorded by the administration in the Candidate Portal.
- Effective Dates: The Candidate's precise Start Date and Completion Date are recorded in the Candidate Portal database upon assignment and reflected on issued certificates upon successful graduation.
- Nature of Relationship: The Candidate participates as an educational trainee. This agreement does not establish an employer-employee relationship, formal civil service appointment, or guarantee of post-internship corporate placement. Top performers may be considered for discretionary stipends or direct client referral support at MentorTechz's sole discretion.
3. Learning Commitments & Project Deliverables
During the internship term, the Candidate agrees to perform the following developmental duties:
- Active Participation: Engage diligently with assigned project briefs, curriculum resources, and mentorship sessions.
- Timely Deliverables: Deliver high-quality code implementations, UI designs, or documentation for each assigned milestone on or before designated due dates.
- Repository Maintenance: Maintain clean, well-commented source code repositories on GitHub, demonstrating proper Git workflow, semantic commit messages, and deployment configurations.
- Receptive to Code Reviews: Promptly address mentor feedback when a project submission is marked as "Changes Requested", implementing improvements within the requested revision cycle.
4. Conduct, Integrity & Anti-Plagiarism Commitment
The Candidate commits to upholding the highest standards of professional conduct and academic honesty:
- Original Work: All submitted code, components, and design systems must be the authentic work of the Candidate. Third-party libraries and frameworks must be properly cited and integrated with original business logic.
- Plagiarism Prohibition: Copying code from fellow candidates, cloning completed tutorial repositories without original comprehension, or employing third parties to complete tasks will result in immediate termination of this Agreement.
- Professionalism: The Candidate will maintain respectful, courteous communications across all portal message boards, email channels, and collaborative discussions.
5. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property Provisions
To protect proprietary client systems while empowering candidates with verifiable portfolio assets, the following terms apply:
- Confidential Information: The Candidate may receive access to internal development credentials, project specifications, or client data. The Candidate agrees to hold all such proprietary information in strict confidence and not disclose or publish it to any unauthorized party.
- Candidate Portfolio Rights: The Candidate retains the right to display their original educational code solutions and demonstrations in their personal GitHub portfolio and professional resume, provided proprietary client information, API keys, and confidential credentials remain strictly excluded.
- MentorTechz Assets: All proprietary training curricula, internal platform code, project specifications, and brand marks remain the sole intellectual property of MentorTechz.
6. Program Completion, Certification & Letter of Recommendation
Graduation from the MentorTechz Internship is strictly performance-based. Credentials are earned, not granted automatically by tenure:
Step 1: Project Approvals
All assigned project deliverables must achieve formal "APPROVED" status from the engineering evaluation team.
Step 2: Admin Sign-Off
The administrator confirms overall satisfactory performance and marks the internship as "COMPLETED".
Step 3: Document Issuance
The Candidate pays the confirmed document processing fee (PKR 500) and receives verifiable digital credentials with tracking IDs.
Issued documents include an official Certificate of Completion (Reference MT/CERT/XXXXXX) and a personalized Letter of Recommendation (Reference MT/REC/XXXXXX) signed by MentorTechz leadership.
7. Document Issuance Fee & Verification Procedures
MentorTechz does not charge tuition fees for participating in the internship program. To cover cryptographic verification, administrative review, permanent digital archiving, and tamper-resistant document generation:
- A confirmed, one-time document processing fee of PKR 500 applies when the Candidate requests the official Certificate and Letter of Recommendation upon completing all project requirements.
- Payments must be remitted via approved payment channels (Easypaisa, JazzCash, or PayPal) as listed in the Candidate Portal.
- All submitted transaction proofs are subject to manual administrative verification prior to document release.
8. Termination & Voluntary Withdrawal
This Agreement may be terminated under the following circumstances:
- Completion: Automatic conclusion upon successful completion of all assigned project milestones and document issuance.
- Voluntary Withdrawal: The Candidate may withdraw from the program at any time by providing written notice to administration. In the event of early withdrawal, no certificate of completion or recommendation letter will be issued.
- Administrative Termination: MentorTechz reserves the right to terminate this Agreement and revoke portal access immediately if the Candidate commits plagiarism, engages in fraudulent activity, repeatedly misses deadlines without communication, or breaches the Candidate Code of Conduct.
9. Candidate Acceptance & Digital Acknowledgment
By activating their Candidate Portal account, accepting assigned project briefs, and accessing learning modules, the Candidate confirms that:
- They have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions of this Internship Agreement;
- They understand that credentials are tied to satisfactory milestone completion and manual verification;
- They commit to maintaining academic honesty, professional conduct, and confidentiality throughout their tenure.
